Buying Time – Claire Ashton

This is a beautiful song by Claire Ashton, written while she was with Hargreaves in 2010. The song was written soon after she first met her [now] husband, Bret.

We performed it a couple of times but never got to record it. We’ve now (with Claire’s permission) put that right.

Kate and Marie blended their voices perfectly, and there’s some gentle guitar interplay of Iulian’s acoustic behind Chris’s finger picking before he comes in with two guitar solos that match the mood of the song and can only be described as ‘joyful’.
